Unit 1 - Adult ADHD: Recognition, Diagnosis and Assessment

Unit 1 consists of separate interactive modules which are  supplemented by provided resources and relevant clinical materials. Modules are presented weekly, live (via Zoom on in person). A fully online and self-paced version of Unit 1 is currently under development and will be available soon.

A look at the many ways ADHD is presenting in your consulting room, every day of the week, in a variety of unexpected presentations (which you probably won’t be recognising)

How to notice it, what it looks like, and how it affects your patients (and how identifying it will help you secure clinically significant outcomes)

This Unit covers the following topics:

  • Comprehensive discussion regarding producing high outcomes with:
  • ADHD-Focussed history taking
  • Physical examination
  • Investigations appropriate to age and comorbidities
  • Detailed understanding of the diagnostic and screening questionnaires that are used in ADHD
  • PLUS experience derived consulting skills education regarding HOW to conduct the above in order to maximise how each tool/technique/process contributes to securing greater outcomes (by helping you to fully understand the complexity of the patients journey).
