- Is comprised of 3 individual Units, each with a specific area of focus
- Is available via a self-paced online training option
- Australian CPD requirements and standards
We are BeyondGP
We provide clinical training to address the needs we encountered as General Practitioners (including what we were NOT taught in med school). A primary focus of ours is addressing the Adult ADHD epidemic in Australia.
We seek to
- Alleviate the access block which prevents many Australians from receiving adequate treatment for their Adult ADHD
- Decrease the burden felt by the overwhelmed and often under-appreciated practitioners grappling with this condition
- Improve patient outcomes and quality of life
- Address systemic and cultural perceptions regarding ADHD in Australia
- Develop a broad community of practitioners who feel supported, empowered and connected
This Training Program will teach you how to:
Diagnose Adult ADHD
- Learn and receive the validated screening tools which are considered 'best practice'
- Learn ADHD specific approaches for HOW to walk your patient through these tools
Understand MEDICATION in Adult ADHD
- From psychostimulant mechanism, mode of action and contraindications to the importance of scaffolding with mood stabilisers - feel confident in your ability to manage your patients complex needs
Be prepared for Adult ADHD. This includes being aware and having strategies for:
- Contraindications
- Comorbidities
- SUD
- and more
